The petrol variant is available at a starting price of Rs 7.42 lakh while diesel variant will be available at a starting price of Rs 8.62 lakh.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Honda City Diesel<\/strong> uses Amaze\u2019s power plant which is the 1.5-litre i-DTEC engine belting out 100 PS and 200 Nm, coupled to a 6-speed gearbox. Earth Dreams diesel engine will provide a great mix of performance and efficiency. According to Honda, the new car&#8217;s DOHC i-DTEC diesel engine, developed exclusively for India, will be the most fuel efficient in its class. Honda claims a very high mileage of 26kmpl that is higher than any of its rivals.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-15751\" alt=\"Honda City Front\" src=\"http:\/\/news.entecity.com\/files\/2014\/01\/002City13001-768x510.jpg\" width=\"540\" height=\"359\" srcset=\"https:\/\/entecity.com\/news\/files\/2014\/01\/002City13001-768x510.jpg 768w, https:\/\/entecity.com\/news\/files\/2014\/01\/002City13001-222x148.jpg 222w, https:\/\/entecity.com\/news\/files\/2014\/01\/002City13001.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 540px) 100vw, 540px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the<em><strong> Honda City Petrol<\/strong> <\/em>is powered by the same 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol engine which now outputs 119 PS of power and 145 Nm of torque, coupled to both 5-speed manual and 7-step CVT automatic transmissions. The petrol variant offers a mileage of 18 kmpl.<\/p>\n<p>The 2014 Honda City is having the same length as the older model but is 10 mm taller. Rear legroom in the new City has been increased by 50mm while front shoulder room has increased by 40mm to have more cabin space. The detailed instrument cluster will provide all the details to the driver and also help the driver in getting maximum efficiency with the &#8216;Econ&#8217; mode. The new City has a start-stop button and a touch screen AC panel.
