Recently <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thehindu.com\/news\/states\/kerala\/article3875125.ece?homepage=true\" target=\"_blank\">cyber cell has crack downed many people<\/a> who illegally uploaded Malayalam films and also filed case against 1000 people who watched the movie &#8216;<a href=\"http:\/\/movies.entecity.com\/films\/bachelor-party-2012\/\" target=\"_blank\">Bachelor Party<\/a>&#8216; on YouTube.<\/p>\n<p>The report says the second list also has more than 1000 people and it contains many details such as IP address and other personal details. The illegal viewers include gulf expatriates and even non-Malayalis. Police says the illegal viewers covers a large geographical foot print and the IP addresses trace back to\u00a0 New Delhi, Mumbai, US, UK, UAE, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, Ireland, the Philippines, China, South Africa, Uganda, Algeria, Botswana, Kazakhstan, and even Pakistan. Already a preliminary list of 16 illegal viewers including non-Resident Keralites has been submitted to the court by the police.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1589\" title=\"kerala cyber police\" src=\"http:\/\/news.entecity.com\/files\/2012\/09\/kerala-cyber-police.jpeg\" alt=\"Kerala Cyber Cell \" width=\"400\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/entecity.com\/news\/files\/2012\/09\/kerala-cyber-police.jpeg 400w, https:\/\/entecity.com\/news\/files\/2012\/09\/kerala-cyber-police-120x90.jpeg 120w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The <em>kerala cyber cell<\/em> crack downed the illegal up loaders and viewers with the help of software called &#8216;<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Agent Jadoo<\/strong><\/span>\u2019. For those working in the film industry, this is one good news they have been waiting to hear. However the public is outraged by the action took by the police. Many have the opinion that this is absurd.&#8221;This is absolutely ridiculous. If my friend sent me a link to a movie and if I clicked to see what\u2019s in that link, technically I will also become a culprit&#8221; said a movie buff.<\/p>\n<p>While some people support &#8216;Anti-Piracy&#8217; move, they also have the opinion that, why no action is taken when film makers copy movies from foriegn languages.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat happens to the movie makers who copy movies from foreign languages? There has been so many new releases that copy Korean, Japanese and English movies frame by frame.\u201d said Sudha Sha,- Film maker and member of International Film Fraternity of Oman.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am not really a tech person to comment on this issue. But of course, I really do support the cause. Piracy and illegal uploading does affect the film industry all over the world. But as far as <a href=\"http:\/\/news.entecity.com\/tag\/kerala\/\" target=\"_blank\">Kerala<\/a> is concerned I feel people still go to the theatre to watch good movies. There are still shows running houseful and Keralites believe in watching good movies in theatres.\u201d said &#8211; Actor Manoj K. Jayan<\/p>\n<p>So do these recent events mean <strong>Kerala Cyber Cell\u00a0<\/strong>successfully put an end to movie piracy? The answer is yet to be written.
