#EnteThiruvananthapuram:<\/strong> Doctors Without Borders, an international medical humanitarian organisation is organizing a documentary film screening and Q&A Session on January 30 and 31st. \u00a0The event is free and open to all.<\/p>\n

On January 30, documentary titled \u2018MSF (Un)Limited<\/strong>\u2019 will be screened at Alliance Fran\u00e7aise de Trivandrum. MSF(Un)Limited captures intense emotional encounters that tests MSF’s principles. It\u2019s a story of the ongoing internal debate and self-questioning by MSF when faced with the limits of humanitarian action. Moving accounts of atrocities and humanitarian crises since the founding of MSF in 1971 are told using original footage with commentary by MSF staff.<\/p>\n

After the screening, there will be a Q&A session with Martin Sloot. Martin Sloot has worked for MSF since 2001 in Afghanistan, Burundi, Columbia and the Ivory Coast. Presently, he is the General Director of MSF office in India.<\/p>\n

On January 31, the documentary \u2018Fire in the Blood<\/strong>\u2019 will be screened at IMA Building, Red Cross Road, Trivandrum. Fire in the Blood is a detailed tale of medicine, monopoly and malice. Shot on four continents and featuring Bill Clinton and Desmond Tutu, the film tells the true story of the remarkable coalition which came together to \u2018stop the crime of the century\u2019 and save millions of lives in the process. The day will conclude with a panel discussion on \u2018Access to Medicines\u2019 with Dr Unni Karunakara, International President (2010-13)<\/p>\n

Doctors Without Borders or M\u00e9decins Sans Fronti\u00e8re is an international, independent, medical humanitarian organisation that delivers emergency aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, natural disasters and exclusion from healthcare in more than 70 countries, including 8 projects in India.\u00a0 MSF offers assistance to people based on need, irrespective of race, religion, gender or political affiliation. The Nobel Peace Prize 1999 was awarded to Doctors Without Borders “in recognition of the organization’s pioneering humanitarian work on several continents”.<\/strong><\/p>\n
