{"id":16391,"date":"2014-02-06T09:50:42","date_gmt":"2014-02-06T04:20:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/news.entecity.com\/?p=16391"},"modified":"2014-02-06T16:10:18","modified_gmt":"2014-02-06T10:40:18","slug":"pulsar-ss400-and-pulsar-cs400","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/entecity.com\/news\/pulsar-ss400-and-pulsar-cs400\/","title":{"rendered":"Bajaj unveils Pulsar SS400 and Pulsar CS400"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Indian two-wheeler giant Bajaj has unveiled two high displacement versions of the <strong>Pulsar at the 2014 Auto Expo in Delhi.<\/strong> Named CS400 and SS400, both the bikes share their mechanicals with the KTM Duke 390.<\/p>\n<p>Bajaj has not released much details yet but both versions are powered by a four-stroke, 375cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, fuel-injected engine, derived from the engine in the <a title=\"KTM Duke 390 launched in India at Rs1.8 lakh\" href=\"http:\/\/news.entecity.com\/ktm-duke-390-launched-in-india-at-rs1-8-lakh\/\" target=\"_blank\">KTM 390 Duke<\/a>, and managed by a six-speed gearbox.<\/p>\n<p>SS400, where SS stands for Supersports is a full- faired machine. SS400 features a faux air intake ahead of the large tank. The rear gets a sport bike style split seat while the tail lamp is mounted on the rear mudguard. The bike also features raised clip on handle bars. SS 400 runs Metzeler tyres like the KTM 390 Duke.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-16394\" style=\"text-align: center;\" alt=\"Pulsar CS400\" src=\"http:\/\/news.entecity.com\/files\/2014\/02\/Pulsar-CS400-768x501.jpg\" width=\"553\" height=\"361\" srcset=\"https:\/\/entecity.com\/news\/files\/2014\/02\/Pulsar-CS400-768x501.jpg 768w, https:\/\/entecity.com\/news\/files\/2014\/02\/Pulsar-CS400.jpg 960w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 553px) 100vw, 553px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Pulsar CS400<\/strong> is a naked version and looks similar to the 200NS. CS400 features a new headlamp and gets all digital gauges that sit on top of a conventional handle bar. The bike also gets a unique digital speedometer and a gear indicator mounted on the tank. The design is rounded off by a thick rear end with a butch looking end. CS400 runs a new version of the MRF Revz seen on the smaller 200 Duke.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-16395\" alt=\"Pulsar SS 400\" src=\"http:\/\/news.entecity.com\/files\/2014\/02\/Pulsar-SS-400-670x513.jpg\" width=\"543\" height=\"416\" srcset=\"https:\/\/entecity.com\/news\/files\/2014\/02\/Pulsar-SS-400-670x513.jpg 670w, https:\/\/entecity.com\/news\/files\/2014\/02\/Pulsar-SS-400.jpg 960w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 543px) 100vw, 543px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The design on both bikes definitely has some influence from Ducati. <strong>Bajaj Pulsar CS400<\/strong> gets an inverted telescopic suspension up front, while the SS400 gets telescopic suspension, with a rear monoshock.\u00a0 Both bikes also get disc brakes along with ABS.<\/p>\n<p>The bikes are in the concept stage and will take some time to hit the market.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Indian two-wheeler giant Bajaj has unveiled two high displacement versions of the Pulsar at the 2014 Auto Expo in Delhi.
