The boat was bought by the IT Company UST Global and will be placed at the atrium of their new campus which is nearing completion.<\/p>\n<p>The boat was bought by the company from Chambakkulam Boat Club for Rs26 lakhs. The boat was handed over then at ceremony in Alappuzha and transported to Kollam through waterway and then to Trivandrum by road. The crossing to Trivandrum was on an 86-wheeled trailer which was brought from Chennai for this purpose alone. After some polishing works, the boat will be placed at the atrium near to the Virgin Formula One car which was acquired earlier by the company.<\/p>\n<p>UST Global aims to preserve Kerala\u2019s heritage by the acquirement of this giant vessel. The boat which was in action for nearly four decades holds a significant place among the boat races of Kerala. It has also won the prestigious Nehru Trophy for a whopping number of 8 times.
