Zafer itself is a person who loves such products. “I love to buy such products. But it isn’t available much in Trivandrum. Even if it’s available, the cost will be too high. The materials are quite good and the profit we get is high. Those made me think why not to start this in a large scale? ”, says Zafer. A lot of research finally led him to Tamil Nadu from where he takes the materials, gives the designs and get it printed.

Even though Zafer alone was the power behind this initiative, he says that support from his friends in many areas keep ‘Sanchi’ moving. Whether it’s designing or marketing, his friends are there to support, irrespective of the location. “Our bags will be featured for NIT Ragam which is going to be held next month. I’ll be sending the bags and my friends there will be taking responsibility of marketing it”, adds Zafer. The bags have already produced a great response in Technopark. “Sanchi is still in the trial run mode. But we are getting very good orders. A lot of enquiries are coming from Technopark and even companies like Infosys, TCS etc have shown interest in it”.

Mouth publicity is the strength of Sanchi. They haven’t started any type of promotional tasks. However, a link for Sanchi will be soon added in TechnoparkToday.com. The orders for bags are getting increased day-by-day. “We are planning to expand our stitching works here too. They are many jobless women who own a sewing machine. This will be an employment opportunity for them, as well as the best way to meet the increasing demand”.

Sanchi was first introduced at International Documentary and Short Film Festival of Kerala (IDSFFK) and then International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK). The response for the products was quite good for both the events. The price of the bags ranges from Rs70-Rs150, the highest priced being premium quality bags. The bags are available in all ranges so that affordability is not an issue. Zafer is planning to launch iPad bags soon. “100 iPad bags were released on a trial run. Many are currently using it. The rest will be released according to their feedback”, adds Zafer. Delivery is available in Trivandrum city limits.

For more info Contact: Zafer @ 9995463481

#Technopark: So as to promote the use of eco-friendly cotton bags, Zafer, a Technopark employee has come up with his startup ‘Sanchi’ which produces eye-catching bags for students and professionals.
