{"id":16687,"date":"2014-02-17T14:17:47","date_gmt":"2014-02-17T08:47:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/news.entecity.com\/?p=16687"},"modified":"2014-02-17T14:17:47","modified_gmt":"2014-02-17T08:47:47","slug":"kerala-first-to-implement-cctns-system","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/entecity.com\/news\/kerala-first-to-implement-cctns-system\/","title":{"rendered":"Kerala first to implement CCTNS System"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Kerala has become the first state to implement the<strong> Crime and Criminal Tracking and Network System<\/strong> (CCTNS) a project implemented by the National Crime Records Bureau.<\/p>\n<p>CCTNS is an online system connecting all police stations and related institutions across the country. The project aims to create a comprehensive and integrated system for effective policing and sharing data of crimes and criminals among 14,000 police stations and 6,000 related offices across India.<\/p>\n<p>Kerala was the first state to implement the system and the project was first launched in Malappuram District. With the new system, Kerala Police can seek help of other state polices and the facility could check interstate crimes, drugs mafia and human trafficking. Crime and Criminal Tracking and Network System will be launched in Trivandrum in February 19.<\/p>\n<p>The goals of the system are to facilitate collection, storage, retrieval, analysis, transfer and sharing of data and information at the police station and between the police station and the State Headquarters and the Central Police Organisations.<\/p>\n<p>At present, there is no facility for data storage, data sharing and accessing data.
