In many places, political parties who erected the flex boards tried to stop corporation authorities from removing the flex. However, local people and college students warded off the party members and offered protection to corporation workers.<\/p>\n<p>Flex-boards, flags and other unauthorized materials have been \u2018littering\u2019 the streets for many years. \u00a0TRDCL has given many complaints to the authorities demanding the removal of flex-boards from the city roads developed by the company.\u00a0 However, no action has been taken so far. As per the agreement signed between the government and the TRDCL, such materials are banned on the 42.6 kilometres of city roads developed under the Thiruvananthapuram City Road Improvement Project.<\/p>\n<p>Mammoth flex boards installed along city roads are obstructing the view of motorists and pedestrians. According to the agreement, TRDCL is also responsible for road safety on the roads developed by it, which is one reason why the company is adamant on the removal of illegal structures from roads managed by it.<\/p>\n<p>Corporation hopes to remove more flex boards in the coming days.
