Booster Bike Patrol will hit city streets in about five days.<\/p>\n<p>Booster Bike Patrol will focus on spots selected on the basis of data collected in the last 3 years on crime related details of chain-snatching offences. The Booster Patrol will keep these spots under surveillance, check suspicious movements and prevent any unexpected incidents.<\/p>\n<p>Booster Patrol will help to prevent crime by coordinated movement and team effort. The idea is to pass on wireless messages as soon as possible in the case of a crime, so that motorcycle patrol in surrounding areas can block all paths leading away from the site of offence,\u201d said City Police Commissioner H. Venkatesh.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the existing patrol, about 20 such motorcycle patrols will be deployed. Booster Bike Patrol is expected to have lighter bikes than the Royal Enfield that currently deployed in the two-wheeler force of the city police.<\/p>\n<p>Apart from these a new patrol system modelled on the existing Crime Stopper (1090) is being planned for allowing citizens, Janamaitri members or anyone from the public to inform the police.
