All of us are used to hearing reports of restaurants dishing out contaminated food in unhygienic conditions to their customers. In the recent past there have been several such incidents where the customers got the shock of their lives while digging into their favourite dish.<\/p>\n
It seems the food outlets operating from Technopark are also no exception. Vibhu Balan, a techie who ordered \u2018Falooda\u2019 from an outlet called the Passion Fruit Juice Corner in the Nila Building, noticed an unusual ingredient in the form of a handy-plast (band-aid) that too with nauseating items such as blood and pus sticking to it.<\/p>\n
“It was not your regular \u201cwriggly-wiggly-worm stuff\u201d, it was something that is more or less disgusting, depending on how you see it” says Vibhu Balan.<\/p>\n
Now it is reported that, Food Safety Authorities visited the spot and sealed the shop.<\/p>\n
Apparently this is not a stray incident as far as Technopark is concerned. Few days ago, a restaurant called \u2018Bawarchi\u2019 operating at Tejaswini food court was forced to close shop following complaints of serving rotten prawns biriyani to the customers. During the inspection conducted by the Food Safety Officials, it was found that the restaurant has violated the rules by adding banned ajinomoto in chicken curry prepared for serving.<\/p>\n
Since this incident is the latest in the long list of such mishaps, one wishes that the management of these establishments take greater care in preparing the food and serving to the customers. Serving clean food to the people is not a small matter and such gross indifference cannot be tolerated at any cost.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
