Last year Samsung launched the Galaxy S4 Zoom, the high-end camera variant of the S4. Following its lines, the company has launched the camera variant of S5- the Galaxy K Zoom<\/strong>, a smartphone that sports a 10x optical zoom and 20.7 megapixel sensor.<\/p>\n

Galaxy K Zoom (according to Samsung K stands for \u2018Kamera\u2019) looks similar to Galaxy S5<\/a>. It sports a 4.8 inches display with 720 x 1280 resolution and the display is protected by Corning Glass 3. The Galaxy K zoom runs Android 4.4 KitKat, much like Galaxy S5. The new camera-centric smartphone is powered by a hexa-core processor (a quad-core 1.3GHz and a dual-core 1.7GHz) and has 2GB of RAM.\u00a0 It has 8GB Internal memory and supports up to 64GB via microSD card.<\/p>\n

The biggest difference between K Zoom and S5 is its imaging hardware. K Zoom uses a point-and-shoot size image sensor that can click photos in 20.7 megapixels<\/strong>. The device offers 10X optical zoom and has a xenon flash which provides more natural light for shooting imagery than an LED. In terms of focal length, the lens in K Zoom covers 24-240mm and has an aperture of F3.1-6.3.<\/p>\n

The Optical Image Stabilizer (OIS) helps with low-light conditions and stabilizing scenes with movement. The software has also been improved for better imaging. Other features of K Zoom include Auto Focus\/Auto Exposure (AF\/AE) separation which helps balance light and clarity, a \u2018pro suggest mode\u2019 which serves up filters, and a \u2018Selfie Alarm\u2019<\/strong> which is a timer for taking your photo using the front-facing camera.<\/p>\n

The Galaxy K zoom will be available in two variants – LTE and 3G – while other connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Micro-USB and NFC. The smartphone will be available in white, charcoal black and electric blue.<\/p>\n

Samsung is yet to reveal the exact price and launch date for the Galaxy K Zoom.<\/span><\/p>\n
