Sadly, <strong>no step has been taken to acquire land.<\/strong> According to &#8216; Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013&#8217;, the government should compensate landowners with double the market value of the land.\u00a0 Market price of the land along the stretch is between Rs 10-25 lakh\/ cent, which means paying compensation as per the new law isn\u2019t viable. State Planning Board had advised the government to consider an alternative route for the monorail.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>The deadline for global tender will end on May 31.<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>To provide more time for road widening, DMRC has divided the project into three sections with- Technocity-Kariyavattom, Kesavadasapuram-Karamana in the first phase in 3 years and the third phase &#8216;Kazhakoottam-Kesavadasapuram&#8217; in 2years after completing the first phase.
