The MT125 uses the Yamaha R125\u2032s engine and plans to challenge the KTM Duke 125 naked bike in the European markets.<\/p>\n<p>The Yamaha MT-125 actually is the stripped off version of the highly popular YZF- R125. The design is based on Yamaha MT-07 and MT-09 which are 900 and 700cc bikes. MT-125 sports a neatly sculpted fuel tank, a low angular headlamp with LED day lights and wide air intakes. It also has the same steel delta box frame that it borrows from the R125.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-18269\" alt=\"Yamaha MT125 Naked Bike\" src=\"http:\/\/news.entecity.com\/files\/2014\/05\/Yamaha-MT125-Naked-Bike-1.jpg\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/entecity.com\/news\/files\/2014\/05\/Yamaha-MT125-Naked-Bike-1.jpg 600w, https:\/\/entecity.com\/news\/files\/2014\/05\/Yamaha-MT125-Naked-Bike-1-222x148.jpg 222w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The rear has an upswept design with the LED tail light taking position beneath the tail. Yamaha claims, the design will give the rear a clean and street fighter image but also enhances aerodynamics. The wheels feature a multi spoke design and get six sets of Y-shaped spokes making them light and looking sporty at the same time.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-18271\" alt=\"2014 Yamaha MT125 Front\" src=\"http:\/\/news.entecity.com\/files\/2014\/05\/2014-Yamaha-MT125-Front.jpg\" width=\"586\" height=\"400\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The 138 kilograms heavy bike gets a fully digital instrument console and features bar style display showing engine temperature, RPM, fuel level as well as speedometer and shift light indicator.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-18272\" alt=\"2014 Yamaha MT125 Instrument Cluster\" src=\"http:\/\/news.entecity.com\/files\/2014\/05\/2014_yam_mt125_eu_mdrm3_det_006.jpg\" width=\"586\" height=\"400\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Yamaha MT125 is powered by a single cylinder, four stroke, liquid cooled 124.7cc engine capable of 15PS max power and a torque figure of 12.4Nm. The motor produces 14.8 Bhp of peak power at 9,000 rpm and 12.3 Nm of peak torque at 8,000 rpm. \u00a0Power is transmitted to the rear wheels through a six-speed constant mesh gearbox.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-18273\" alt=\"2014 Yamaha MT125 Engine\" src=\"http:\/\/news.entecity.com\/files\/2014\/05\/2014-Yamaha-MT125-Engine.jpg\" width=\"586\" height=\"400\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Yamaha Mt-125 will go on sale in Europe in <strong>July<\/strong>. The bike is not expected to be released in India as the market for an expensive 125cc bike is very limited here.
