Maruti Suzuki is reportedly gearing up to launch its first crossover-SUV dubbed Sx4 Cross<\/strong>\u00a0in 2015. Maruti showed the Sx4 Cross\u00a0earlier at the 2014 Auto Expo but it was overshadowed by the launch of the Celerio and the unveiling of the Ciaz concept.<\/p>\n

Measuring 4300mm in length and 1765mm in width, the SX4 S-Cross is almost as spacious as the Renault Duster and Nissan Terrano. The boot can accommodate 430-litres of luggage with the vehicle weighing in at 1175kg.<\/p>\n

The car is expected to come bundled with premium features such LED daytime running lights on the high-end variant, 16-inch alloy wheels, scuff plates and black cladding on its exteriors to give the car a rugged SUV look.<\/p>\n

\"2014-Maruti-S-Cross\"<\/p>\n

The interior of the Maruti Sx4 Cross\u00a0is similar to the ones found in Swift. The layout of steering wheel, gauges, gearbox, stalks and buttons are all exactly the same. The rear can seat three people comfortably and will fold down to expand the boot space.<\/p>\n

\"2014<\/p>\n

The S-Cross SX4 will be offered two engine options in diesel and petrol. The 1.6-litre diesel engine produces 120bhp and 320Nm of torque. The petrol engine is also a 1.6-litre and produces 120bhp and 156Nm of torque. Power from both the engines is transmitted to all four wheels or the front wheels via a five-speed manual or a CVT gearbox.<\/p>\n

\"Maruti-SX4-S-Cross-Launch\"<\/p>\n

Maruti Suzuki S-Cross will be launched and hit showrooms in India by early 2015. Pricing of the car is expected to range from 9laksh to 12lakhs. S-Cross SUV will take on the likes of Renault Duster in India.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
