1.<\/span> A<\/strong> – for Amazon which is determined to dominate and has deeper pockets than any other player and has demonstrated resilience in the pursuit of long term eCommerce domination. They missed the boat in China and they plan to nail the bullseye in India.<\/p>\n

2.<\/span> B<\/strong> – Bansal! Three (Sachin, Binny and Mukesh) are way cooler than just two!<\/p>\n

3. C<\/strong> – Consolidate Cash, Customers and Categories.<\/p>\n

4. D<\/strong> – Diversity in customer profiles which Myntra helps draw to FK.<\/p>\n

5. E<\/strong> – Efficiencies in overall operations realised from leveraging FlipKart technology and logistics.<\/p>\n

6. F<\/strong> – FDI in eCom is inevitable. This deal prepares FK to weather that upcoming battle with new players like Walmart. Carrefour, and a half dozen other international players who will enter India.<\/p>\n

7. G<\/strong> – Gladiators (AMZN & FK) are readying for a battle to the death in the eCommerce Coliseum. None of the common investors truly wins if only Myntra survives but everyone wins big if FK is strengthened and left standing at the end of the war.<\/p>\n

8. H<\/strong> – Hope that the “Modi wave” results in bullish international investor sentiment for an earlier than planned FK IPO.<\/p>\n

9. I<\/strong> – Investors are driving this deal more than anyone else. I suspect the mgmt teams on both sides were “persuaded” to marry!<\/p>\n

10. J<\/strong> – Just do it! It makes sense and the timing is right!<\/p>\n
