{"id":18499,"date":"2014-05-26T11:27:16","date_gmt":"2014-05-26T05:57:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/news.entecity.com\/?p=18499"},"modified":"2014-05-26T11:27:16","modified_gmt":"2014-05-26T05:57:16","slug":"modis-swearing-in-biggest-ever-event-at-rashtrapati-bhavan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/entecity.com\/news\/modis-swearing-in-biggest-ever-event-at-rashtrapati-bhavan\/","title":{"rendered":"Modi\u2019s swearing-in, biggest-ever event at Rashtrapati Bhavan"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>India will get its 15th Prime Minister today when Narendra Damodardas Modi, 63, takes oath at the biggest-ever swearing-in ceremony Rashtrapati Bhavan has seen.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Around 4,000 guests, including heads of the government of 8 countries, 777 MPs of both Houses, the outgoing PM and his council of ministers, all governors, Chief Ministers, ambassadors and other constitutional authorities like the chief justice of India will attend the swearing-in ceremony.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-18503\" alt=\"rashtrapathi bhavam\" src=\"http:\/\/news.entecity.com\/files\/2014\/05\/rashtrapathi-bhavam.jpg\" width=\"555\" height=\"370\" srcset=\"https:\/\/entecity.com\/news\/files\/2014\/05\/rashtrapathi-bhavam.jpg 694w, https:\/\/entecity.com\/news\/files\/2014\/05\/rashtrapathi-bhavam-222x148.jpg 222w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 555px) 100vw, 555px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The ceremony will be an open air event at the forecourt of Rashtrapati Bhavan. A massive stage has been set up at the base of the steps and hundreds of chairs are placed in a semi-circle facing it for the ceremony. The event will begin at 6 pm and would last approximately one hour and 10 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>7000 security personal including 800 policemen are deployed in the area providing a 5-layered security cover. Two UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles) or popularly known as drones, will hover over the Rashtrapati Bhavan accompanied by anti-aircraft guns on ground. The security arrangements have been made on the lines of Republic Day with army, air force and other intelligence agencies assisting the Delhi Police.<\/p>\n<p>There will be around 350 people from the media to cover the event. Doordarshan will telecast the ceremony live with a running commentary which will start before the event.
