This is the first time hop-on hop-off boat service is being introduced in the country. The idea is to provide tourists a circular service at regular intervals.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The hop-on hop-off boat service will have initial stopovers at Marine Drive, Bolgatty Palace, Vypeen, Fort Kochi and Mattanchery.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The sites in Muziris also would be linked with the service. There would be a common ticket for all heritage spots and the tourists would be able to explore them at leisure. Each of the boats can accommodate 25 tourists and services will be operated every 15 minutes. The construction of the boats have been entrusted to the Kochi based private boat builder Samudra Shipyard (P) Ltd. The construction of boats are nearing completion.<\/p>\n<p>The tourist will be given brochures containing information regarding Muziris heritage zone and various places of interest. In the future, digital technology for providing commentary as seen many foreign countries will be used.<\/p>\n<p>Another flagship programme of the Kerala Tourism is the Spice Route project. The Spice Route project aims to share the heritage among 31 countries along the ancient route.
