Mercedes-Benz has officially launched the diesel model of its S-Class, the S350 CDI in India at Rs 1.07crore. S350 CDI is much cheaper than the S500 which was launched at Rs.1.57 crore in January.<\/p>\n

The new Mercedes S 350 CDI is very extravagantly equipped with creature comforts. It has got similar equipment levels to the S 500 variant, but lacks some features that are standard on the petrol version. \u00a0While the Burmester sound system has been retained, it will lose out on the 3D surround system.\u00a0The heated\/cooled cup-holders won\u2019t be offered and the two individual seats in the rear will be replaced with a bench seat, making room for an extra passenger. The 360-degree reversing camera will be replaced with a regular unit while the night-vision camera has also been ditched.<\/p>\n

The Mercedes-Benz S 350 CDI is powered by a 3.0-litre V6 that develops 255 bhp @ 3600 rpm and 620 Nm of torque @ 1600-2400 rpm. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels through a 7G-TRONIC Plus automatic gearbox. Mercedes-Benz claims that the car can accelerate from 0-100 kph in 6.8 seconds and touch an electronically limited top speed of 250 kph.<\/p>\n

S 350 CDI come with features like LED headlamps, panoramic sunroof, seven-colour ambient interior lighting, two 31.2 cm TFT screens, multi-function steering wheel and massaging seats. Other features include Mercedes’ ‘Pre-Safe’ system, a park assist system, powered rear seats and a rear-seat entertainment system.<\/p>\n

On the safety front, S 350 CDI get air suspension, eight airbags, ESP, brake assist, adaptive brakes with hold function, hill start assist and park assist. S 350 CDI uses AIRMATIC suspension with Mercedes\u2019 iconic ‘Magic Body Control’ for a better ride.<\/p>\n
