Representatives who spoke at &#8216;District Development Committee&#8217; said that, road development works were dragging on owing to lack of coordination between various government departments such as KWA and PWD.<\/p>\n<p>The Collector said that the new agency will solve these problems considerably. High priority will be given to all major projects identified by the elected representatives.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The meeting also discussed construction of underpasses at all major junctions from Karamana to Pravachambalam to ease traffic.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>A draft plan regarding this will be submitted to the government after calculating the estimate. The Nemom UP School building will be demolished for road widening only after ensuring that a new building for classrooms is built. The disbursement of compensation to people whose land has been acquired for road development will be put in fast-track.<\/p>\n<p>MLAs K Muraleedharan and Jameela Prakasam, MP A Sampath and MLAs G Karthikeyan, N Sakthan, V S Sivakumar and V Sasi and District Panchayat vice-president Rufus Daniel participated at the District Development Committee meeting.
