Beware you may not be eligible for warranty or any after sales service, if you buy products online.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/news.entecity.com\/online-shopping-through-tradus-shocks-it-professional\/\" target=\"_blank\">Online shopping through Tradus shocks IT Professional<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Earlier this year, Dell, Lenovo, Nikon and Toshiba all have issued a warning against buying their products from e-commerce websites citing that online shopping sites are not their authorized resellers.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Now Chinese smartphone maker, Gionee has also issued a warning for customers against buying their phones from Indian e-commerce portals.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Gionee stated that the warning has been issued in the light of some &#8216;recent instances&#8217;. It also elaborated that the company sells phones only through its official website and its distributors. The company has asked its customers to check all warranty and service related details carefully before buying a Gionee phone from the e-commerce websites.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese e-commerce sites are discounting prices below what other retail stores would sell at. After that, if the customer faces any issues post purchase, they turn them away saying its a brand issue. This is hurting our brand,\u201d Gionee India Head Arvind R Vohra told PTI.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile online shopping sites like Flipkart and SnapDeal said that all the products which are available on their website are genuine and customers will continue to enjoy the warranty and after sale service to all original products as always.<\/p>\n<p>In a bid to woo customers, online shopping sites offer heavy discounts on products, which are often below prices offered in the offline market.
