The new autorickshaw counter will solve the long-pending issue of techies working in Technopark campus.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a title=\"TechBus \u2013 Bus service exclusively for Technopark employees launched\" href=\"http:\/\/news.entecity.com\/techbus-bus-service-exclusively-for-technopark-employees-launched\/\" target=\"_blank\">TechBus \u2013 Bus service exclusively for Technopark employees launched<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The prepaid autorickshaw counter will work round-the-clock and will be situated in front of the Technopark. Around 60 autorickshaws have been selected for the prepaid counter.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The minimum rate of a trip in an auto from the counter will be the same as the standard rate, Rs 15. City police have fixed the auto fare for trips from Kazhakkoottam to Technopark.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Kazhakkoottam is also the first rural location where the autorickshaws are being clubbed with the \u2018Nirbhaya\u2019 women-friendly autorickshaws which are already operating in the city. Around 70 autorickshaws will be included in the Nirbhaya project. Police will carry out a background check to ensure the exclusion of those with criminal background.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAround 100 auto drivers have submitted their names for inclusion in the project. We have collected their biodata. The final list will be prepared after conducting an enquiry into the background of these drivers.
