State Government has mooted setting up Technology Clinics across the state to assess the aptitude of a student. If all goes well, these technology clinics will be established in an year.<\/p>\n
Technology Clinics will evaluate the aptitude of a student and then nurture the student to become an entrepreneur. <\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
These will help to develop the skills of students in Class IX, X, XII and XII. \u00a0Hardcore entrepreneurship training would be provided only after the student finishes Plus-Two. Information technology, telecom industry and other ITeS sectors will be covered by the technology clinic.<\/p>\n
At present, such technology clinics are only available in Mumbai under the State Innovation Council. The master plan for the technology clinic will be finalised soon by the state government.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe state government is in the process of setting up Fab labs and distributing Raspberry Pi computers to students across the state. When the technology clinics are set up, the aptitude of a student can be easily assessed using these devices. Upon assessment, the skills of the student can be easily developed. In the later stage, tips for entrepreneurship will also be given. Initially, technology clinics will be set up in the state as business incubators in the state,\u201d<\/em> said K C Chandrasekharan Nair, Registrar, Technopark-TBI to IE.<\/p>\n
Currently there are 10 incubators in the state supporting 950 start-ups and providing around 10,000 jobs. Apart from Technopark-TBI and Start-up Village Kochi, other incubators in Kerala include Thiruvananthapuram Engineering College, Kozhikode NIT, Kochi NRI-TBI, Kozhikode Indian Institute of Spice Research, Kanjirappilly Amal Jyothy Engineering College, Kochi Central Institute of Fisheries Technology, Amritha Institute of Technology and Kasargod Central Plantation Crops Research Institute.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
