{"id":19212,"date":"2014-06-17T14:45:45","date_gmt":"2014-06-17T09:15:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/news.entecity.com\/?p=19212"},"modified":"2014-06-30T13:11:09","modified_gmt":"2014-06-30T07:41:09","slug":"air-asia-kochi-bangalore-flight","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/entecity.com\/news\/air-asia-kochi-bangalore-flight\/","title":{"rendered":"AirAsia launches Kochi-Bangalore flights for just Rs 500"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em><strong>#EnteKochi:<\/strong><\/em> The domestic aviation sector is all set to witness tough competition with the entry of Tata-AirAsia.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/news.entecity.com\/lal-joses-kochi-to-london-75-day-road-trip-started\/\" target=\"_blank\">Lal Jose\u2019s \u201cKochi to London\u201d 75-day road trip started!<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>AirAsia India announced flights between Bangalore and Kochi from July with a limited offer of an all-inclusive fare of Rs 500.\u00a0 <strong>Guests will be able to start their booking on\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.airasia.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">airasia.com<\/a>\u00a0at\u00a09.30 pm\u00a0from\u00a0June 16 to June 22\u00a0for the travel period from\u00a0July 20 to October 25.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>AirAsia India started its operations by launching its first flight between Bangalore and Goa in a move that is expected to intensify the fare war among the no-frill airlines in the loss-hit sector. AirAsia India will be operating twice-a-day flight on the Bangalore-Chennai-Bangalore route from\u00a0June 19, besides the daily flight between Bangalore and Goa. Bangalore-Kochi flight is Air Asia&#8217;s third service.<\/p>\n<p>AirAsia India, is now the fourth low-cost carrier in the country after IndiGo, SpiceJet and GoAir. AirAsia India would focus on connecting tier-II cities offering fares about 35% lower than the prevailing market rates. Malaysia-based AirAsia currently operates international routes into Bangalore, Chennai, Kochi, Kolkata and Trichy. The no-frill carrier is a 49:30:21 joint venture involving Malaysian low-cost carrier AirAsia Berhad, Tata Sons and Arun Bhatia&#8217;s Telstra Tradeplace.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Meanwhile Tata Group is all set to launch another low-cost carrier called the &#8216;Tata SIA Airlines Ltd&#8217;, a joint venture between Tata Sons and Singapore Airlines.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>#EnteKochi: The domestic aviation sector is all set to witness tough competition with the entry of Tata-AirAsia.
