Read for what.<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>With the completion of current construction activities this year of TCS, Infosys, UST Global, Tata Elxsi, IBS and <a title=\"Technopark Phase 3 to include entertainment hub and shopping malls\" href=\"http:\/\/news.entecity.com\/technopark-phase-3-to-include-entertainment-hub-and-shopping-malls\/\" target=\"_blank\">Technopark&#8217;s Phase III<\/a> building, around 45,000 additional direct jobs will be created, leading to a total of 90,000 direct jobs and 3,50,000 indirect jobs.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Technopark&#8217;s export turnover during the financial year 2013-14 is around Rs. 5,000 crore as compared to Rs. 3,500 crore in 2012-13.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cThe capacity built during the last 24 years would be doubled during the next two years in terms of employment through companies located here,\u201d Technopark CEO KG Gireesh Babu said in a statement. \u201cWe added 1.1 million sq ft of built-up space last year and construction of buildings on a total area of 2.5 million sq ft is progressing\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>Phase-I and phase-II construction of buildings on a total area of 2.5 million sft is progressing well and will complete within a year. Infosys, TCS, UST Global, Tata Elxsi and IBS are the companies which are building their own campuses. Phase-II is an 86-acre Special Economic Zone (SEZ) campus being jointly developed by Infosys and UST Global. When fully developed, it can accommodate 50,000 IT\/ITeS professionals.<\/p>\n<p><strong>In Phase-3, a capacity of 8,500 seats has been created with the commissioning of the Twin Towers\u2014Ganga and Yamuna.<\/strong> Phase-3 buildings are the most modern green building built by the state government. 40 companies had been allotted space in the new Twin Towers. Another 18 companies are set to commence their operations shortly.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<div>UST Global\u2019s under-construction building can house 8,500 IT professionals and the plan for the second building is also being finalised.<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<div><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-19229\" alt=\"UST Global campus Trivandrum\" src=\"http:\/\/news.entecity.com\/files\/2014\/06\/UST-Global-campus-Trivandrum-768x513.jpg\" width=\"538\" height=\"359\" srcset=\"https:\/\/entecity.com\/news\/files\/2014\/06\/UST-Global-campus-Trivandrum-768x513.jpg 768w, https:\/\/entecity.com\/news\/files\/2014\/06\/UST-Global-campus-Trivandrum-222x148.jpg 222w, https:\/\/entecity.com\/news\/files\/2014\/06\/UST-Global-campus-Trivandrum.jpg 1050w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 538px) 100vw, 538px\" \/><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Meanwhile, Infosys has already constructed 2 Software Development Blocks (SDB), which currently employ 3300 professionals. The 3rd SDB of 3.5 lakh sq ft, having 3,500 seats, has been completed. The 4th SDB, coming up on an area of 4.5 lakh sq ft and the 5th SDB will accommodate 4,500 people each. <strong><em>Infosys plans to invest another Rs 800 crore in Trivandrum campus over the next few years.<\/em><\/strong><\/div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li><a title=\"Trivandrum Infosys to add 3,500 IT professionals\" href=\"http:\/\/news.entecity.com\/trivandrum-infosys-to-add-3500-it-professionals\/\" target=\"_blank\">Trivandrum Infosys to add 3,500 IT professionals<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p>SEZ zone developed by TCS in Phase-1 will have a total of 1.12 million sft. The main four IT buildings will seat 2,200 professionals each. The first building will be ready by August creating 8,800 jobs.
