{"id":19531,"date":"2014-07-08T21:14:02","date_gmt":"2014-07-08T15:44:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/news.entecity.com\/?p=19531"},"modified":"2014-07-08T21:14:02","modified_gmt":"2014-07-08T15:44:02","slug":"infopark-kochi-to-get-rs-350-crore-investment","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/entecity.com\/news\/infopark-kochi-to-get-rs-350-crore-investment\/","title":{"rendered":"Infopark Kochi to get Rs 350 crore investment"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em><strong>#EnteKochi:<\/strong><\/em> The Lulu Group, headed by NRI businessman MA Yusuf Ali\u00a0 is gearing up to invest an additional amount of Rs. 350 crore to develop the L&amp;T Tech Park\u00a0 which it recently acquired for Rs 150 crore at Infopark Kochi. <strong>The Lulu Group has proposed to change the name of L&amp;T Tech Park to Lulu Tech Park Ltd and the plan is pending for approval by the Registrar of Companies.<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/news.entecity.com\/start-up-cell-launched-in-trivandrum-and-kochi\/\" target=\"_blank\">Start-up Cell launched in Trivandrum and Kochi!<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/news.entecity.com\/2-electronic-clusters-coming-up-in-trivandrum-and-kochi\/\" target=\"_blank\">2 Electronic Clusters coming up in Trivandrum and Kochi<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Currently, L&amp;T Tech Park has a 4 lakh sq ft building, called Tejomaya, at its 7.44-acre campus in Infopark. The 350 crore investment will be used to build another 9 lakh sq ft of IT space. The proposal will be submitted before the Single Window Board and the Ministry of Environment (MoE) for clearances.<\/p>\n<p>The construction is expected to start by October 2015 after getting clearances and the project will be completed within 3 years. On completion, the project is expected to create an additional direct employment of 13,000-15,000.<\/p>\n<p>Kochi Infopark second phase has been attracting major IT companies. Already six companies have signed deals to develop IT campuses in the 160-acre IT park, including Cognizant Technology Solutions which will build 1.6 Million Sq.Ft self owned campus in 15 acres.
