The move is aimed to ensure the safety and security of employees who use UST\u2019s pick and drop facility.<\/p>\n<p>With the new security system, all the company cabs can be tracked in real-time. The &#8216;Panic Button&#8217; is fitted to the top of the rear seats. In case of an emergency, employees can press the panic button which would trigger an automated SMS to the company&#8217;s \u2018Real Estate and Facility Management\u2019 (REFM), which is behind this new development, and alert them.<\/p>\n<p>These apart, the GPS system also help to check over speeding. If the cab speeds above 80km\/hr, an automated message will be triggered to the REFM team. The system will also help to detect abrupt breaking of the vehicle and potential dangerous driving by the drivers.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cThese have been well received and are widely appreciated. In addition to making employees feel secure, we are also ensuring that cab drivers adhere to traffic laws.\u201d said Hema Menon, Centre Head, UST Global, Trivandrum.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>UST Global plans to extend the new safety system to its other centres.
