Taiwanese smartphone maker HTC has finally launched its new HTC Butterfly 2<\/strong> smartphone for Asian market. HTC Butterfly 2 is a water and dust-resistant smartphone and will be available in India, Taiwan, Hong Kong and other parts of Southeast Asia.<\/p>\n

HTC Butterfly 2 sports a 5-inch of Full HD 1080p display screen and is powered by a 2.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor coupled with 2GB RAM. The device runs Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box along with Sense UI 6.0 which is seen on the HTC One M8<\/a>. The phone will come in 16GB and 32GB variants along with a micro SD slot. Battery has a capacity of 2,700mAh which gives a talk time of up to 23.9 hours on 3G, and standby time of up to 643 hours.<\/p>\n

For imaging the device uses a 13-megapixel Duo Camera along with dual-LED Flash, while a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with UFocus imagery is also onboard. It also sports twin front-facing BoomSound speakers.<\/p>\n

Connectivity options on the Butterfly 2 smartphone include Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, Wi-Fi 802.11 a\/b\/g\/n\/ac with DLNA, GPS\/ A-GPS, Micro-USB with MHL, GPRS\/ EDGE, 3G and 4G LTE connectivity options. It will be available in Blue, Red, and White colour options, measures 145.4×70.2×9.99mm, and weighs 151 grams.<\/p>\n

Exact pricing and availability is yet to be revealed. The device is expected to hit the market next month. \u00a0HTC Butterfly was launched in India last year carrying a price tag of Rs49,990.<\/strong><\/p>\n
