Indian Oil Corporation has opened one more automated pump in the city at Bypass Road near Anayara. IOC state head Murali Srinivasan inaugurated the pump and GM (Indian Oil head office) M D Kumar launched the automation programme.<\/p>\n
With the inauguration of new petrol pump, Trivandrum has become the first city in Kerala to get all the Indian Oil retail outlets completely automated. Currently there are 27 automated pumps in the city.<\/p>\n
The move is aimed at providing better service to the customers who can verify whether they have bought right measure of fuel in return for their money. The automation system provided by the IOC has inbuilt features for assurance of quality and quantity of the fuel being dispensed, transparent and quick service as well as complaint redressal at the petrol pump itself.<\/p>\n
Suppose, if a customer has filled petrol for Rs. 500 and has raised concern whether he was supplied the right quantity, he can check it. Information such as the time, date and along with his vehicle registration, the quantity of fuel supplied to him will be known.<\/p>\n
These automated pumps have remote viewing facility using which IOC officials can monitor the operations in the outlet round-the-clock.<\/p>\n
