The Fish Mall at Kochi is the first of the three fish malls mooted by the state government. Trivandrum and Kozhikode are the two other locations identified for fish mall.<\/p>\n<p>The fish mall will have all the modern amenities and provides people with seafood and other value-added products. The proposed fish mall will be equipped with centralised air conditioning facility and will have other facilities such as kids playing area, lockers, snack-bars etc. The various stalls within the mall will provide fresh fish, dried fish and other value added fish products.<\/p>\n<p>The fish mall is being setup at a total cost of Rs 3.11 crore and will be completed by August 31 next year. The state government has already given the administrative sanction for the project. The construction will be carried out by Coastal Development Corporation.<\/p>\n<p>The fishing boat owners welcome and support the project but still have no idea about the catch procurement policy of the government.
