Chief Minister announced the project during IFFK last year.<\/p>\n<p>Over the years, film enthusiasts attending the IFFK had to rush from one theatre to another to watch the movies being screened in different theatres.\u00a0 With the film festival complex, the entire film festival can be hosted in one place.<\/p>\n<p>The proposed film festival complex will have a total of five screens. The seating capacity at the \u2018screens\u2019 will vary from 500, 400, 300, 200 and 100. The complex will also house seminar halls, canteen, office space for film organisations and car parking slots<\/p>\n<p>The modern film festival complex will come in the heart of the city. The Adoor Goplakrishnan panel, which was constituted by the Film Department to help the government in the formulation of policies regarding the film industry, has recommended constructing the theatre complex at a place near to Kowdiar Palace. The panel has identified 3 acres of land for the construction of film complex. The land belongs to the revenue department.<\/p>\n<p>Accordong the report submitted by the panel, it\u2019s recommended to start the construction work of the complex before the next IFFK. This is the 3rd site proposed by the panel.
