The Fourth edition of \u2018Mahindra Spice Challenge<\/strong>\u2019 car rally organized by Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (M&M Ltd.), India\u2019s leading SUV manufacturer started in God’s own country. \u00a0Held under the Mahindra Adventure umbrella brand as part of the Challenge series Spice Challenge 2014 is one of India\u2019s most competitive and scenic TSD (time, speed, distance) rallies.<\/p>\n

Spice Challenge 2014 will see participation from over 40 vehicles, from the Mahindra stable, manoeuvring the challenging route of more than 500kms in 2 days. With total prize money of worth Rs 4Lakh<\/strong>, the event is being held exclusively for Mahindra owners.<\/p>\n

This year the Spice Challenge will start from Kanakakkunu, Trivandrum<\/strong> and make its way through the serene backwaters of Alappuzha and then to scenic tea estates of Vagamon. The rally will then reach its final destination in Kochi<\/strong>. The drivers will navigate their way through highways, B roads, rough road stretches, while experiencing the magnificent monsoons and spice gardens in the backdrop. They will also get to experience a taste of Kerala by staying in authentic Kerala houseboats at Alappuzha.<\/p>\n

TSD rallies are not just about speed. The driver and the navigator will have to keep a track of time in tandem with the distance covered. Unlike extreme rallying, TSD doesn\u2019t require special training.<\/p>\n
