Compassion, kindness and love towards others are the human qualities that are fast disappearing in today\u2019s world. Still, even in these times, there are people who make us believe through their actions that faith in humanity is not all lost. \u00a0This is the story of one such people stepping up to make a difference in an effort to make the world a better place. This is the story of HOPE.<\/p>\n

HOPE (Hold On, Pain Ends) is a Trivandrum based charitable organization formed by professionals working in Technopark. As the name suggests, HOPE is helping the destitute and helpless, giving them hope about a better life. The organization helps people who are in need of food, cloths, education and support.<\/p>\n

Hope is the brainchild of a techie named Mahesh Parameswaran<\/strong> who works in UST Global, Trivandrum. Mahesh started HOPE as a Facebook community, but soon it has grown much beyond Facebook. Initially Hope started off with the help of his friends and family. Now there are more than 50 volunteers in the organization including doctors, engineers, students and policemen.<\/p>\n

Started in January 2014, Hope has accomplished many things within a short span of time. They have conducted many social welfare activities like blood and organ donation camp, dress donation camps, distributing foods in orphanages, old aged homes, mentally challenged institutions and rehabilitation centres etc, helping widows, distributing study materials to the students in various orphanages in the city etc.<\/p>\n

Perhaps their biggest achievement so far was, providing complete sponsorship of the marriage of 2 orphan girls at the Sri Chitra Home and the building of new homes for three poor families in Attinkkara Colony. Hope members also provide assistance to cancer patients in RCC. Recently they provided Rs37,700 for cancer care for lifetime policy registration to 50 people.<\/p>\n

Hope also cleaned the streets of West Fort and removed wastes with the assistance of Trivandrum Corporation and they still continue the service. The organization also tries to end corruption and bring law breakers in front of public for making a better India. They have launched many social welfare campaigns such as anti-dowry & luxury marriage squad and anti-narcotics movement.<\/p>\n

The story of Hope doesn\u2019t end here. Their crusade against a better world will never stop. The members of Hope strongly believe that one day the world will be a better place.<\/p>\n
