Technopark along with GTech, the industry body of IT\/ITeS companies in Kerala will introduce the &#8216;Festival of Giving&#8217; among the IT community this year.<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;The idea is to bring together every single member of the 40,000-strong Technopark community, thus making this the largest such event in India,&#8221;<\/em> said KG Girish Babu, chief executive officer of Technopark.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>During the Daan Utsav, employees working in various companies will join kids from various care homes in craft works such as pot-painting and will auction the products on the campus. All the proceedings will go towards charity.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>To popularize the festival 10 big smileys will be passed around the Technopark campus covering all the employees. During the Daan Utsav, employees working in various companies will join kids from various care homes in craft works such as pot-painting and will auction the products on the campus. There will be fun-filled events like CEO-bashing, where employees could throw sponge balls at their respective chief executive officer who is seated in a chair, that too for a price. The highlight of the celebrations would be different fund-raising programs. All the proceedings will go towards charity.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-20781\" src=\"http:\/\/news.entecity.com\/files\/2014\/09\/daan-utsav-wishtree-technopark.jpg\" alt=\"daan-utsav-wishtree-technopark\" width=\"565\" height=\"361\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Wish Trees at the Technopark premises will have the wishes of children or elderly, some of them differently abled. Wishes will be as simple as a dozen notebooks to toiletries or medicines for an elderly person for a month, or maybe midday meals for a child for a year. Employees can also make wish online by <a href=\"http:\/\/joyofgiving.gtechindia.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">clicking here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>GTech would also conduct various events in the coastal areas in the city and bring the underprivileged to Technopark to participate in various programmes.
