This year’s Gandhi Jayanthi Day has been made memorable by our PM Narendra Modi who kick-started the campaign called “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan<\/strong><\/a>“, country’s biggest ever cleanliness drive . The campaign envisages a clean India within the next five years and called upon 1 billion Indians to join the initiative and fulfil Gandhiji\u2019s vision of a clean India.<\/p>\n

This campaign comes at a time when western media portray our country as a nation which lacks hygiene and there is a misconception among foreigners that Indian cities are dirty. They even mock us that half of our population go without toilet facilities. Sadly, they are partly right.<\/p>\n

If each one of us decides that we will not litter our surroundings, and discourage others from doing so, it will certainly be the start of a massive revolution.<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

We often blame the government for their inefficiency of waste management and general cleanliness and compare our cities with countries like Singapore and UK. We fail to realize that cleanliness starts with ourselves.<\/strong> Everyone can make a difference if they wish. If each one of us decides that we will not litter our surroundings, and discourage others from doing so, it will certainly be the start of a massive revolution.<\/p>\n

Entecity.com which has always tried to fulfil our social responsibilities through various campaigns feels now is the right time to take up this initiative. Entecity.com is proud to announce My Clean India Kerala Awards to those who wish to undertake cleanup drives. \u00a0Our aim is to make a change in the mindset of our people and create a civic sense in the matter of hygiene and cleanliness.<\/p>\n

How to Participate?<\/h2>\n

Al you have to do is to choose a dirty eye-sore place in your city and transform it into a clean spot<\/strong>. Send us your photos\/videos or links of your clean-up drive to our email – clean@entecity.com<\/em>. Share photos and videos on your Facebook or Twitter. All participants will get a certificate and the best three clean-up drives will be awarded prizes, mementos and certificates.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Who can participate?<\/h2>\n

You can be a single person or small group of friends. Business organisations and their employees are also welcome to participate in our challenge. Also schools, college and NGOs can also take part in this mission.<\/p>\n
