Shri R Narayanan- Eminent Mathematician, Former Head of Computer Division, ISRO, Vice President (Rtd) Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. and visiting faculty at renowned Universities across the globe will be delivering the first lecture, on the topic of decision making &#8211; \u201cSeeing the forest for the trees\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>Launched by a group of senior citizens in the city Prathibha Poshini aims at nurturing young minds to develop their scholastic and other talents. <\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The organization consists of retired members from the civil services, armed forces, doctors, engineers, professors and teachers, and other committed citizens.<\/p>\n<p>Started off in 1994 with 10 students Prathibha Poshini gives training on soft skills, computer courses, exposure to Indian culture, values and heritage, adventure sports, field visits, interaction with famous personalities, music lessons etc. Special emphasis is given to language.<\/p>\n<p>Every year, Prathibha Poshini sends applications to government schools around Trivandrum city to identify 10 eligible students.<strong> These selected children are given special coaching on the academic front and guidance on various aspects of life for the next five years.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Prathibha Poshini, an initiative set up to help bright and talented children from economically disadvantaged families is celebrating its 20th anniversary on 11th October at Hassan Marikkar Hall.
