Apple on Thursday introduced the highly anticipated tablets the iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3. Apple<\/a> hasn\u2019t ignored the Indian market this time, and revealed the India prices for the devices.<\/p>\n

Apple iPad Air 2<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Apple has kept the screen size at 9.7-inches for the iPad Air 2 with a 2048\u00d71536 resolution at 264 ppi. At 6.1mm, iPad Air 2 is 18% thinner than the iPad Air. It is easily the world\u2019s thinnest tablet<\/strong>. Spec wise, the iPad Air 2 features a new A8X processor with 64-bit architecture processor along with the M8 motion co-processor. The A8 chip on the iPad Air 2 delivers a 40% improvement in CPU performance and 2.5 times the graphics performance of the iPad Air. iPad Air 2 will come in 16, 64 and 128 GB versions.<\/p>\n

For imaging, the device uses an 8 megapixel rear cam and a 1.2 megapixels front cam. iPad Air 2 go users can now take panoramic shots, shoot time-lapse video, slo-mo video at 120fps and 1080p HD video. Other features include the Touch ID, fingerprint scanning system<\/strong>, 10 hours of battery backup and Apply Pay support. The device will be Available in silver, space grey, and a new gold colour variant.<\/p>\n

Price<\/strong> – iPad Air 2 with Wi-Fi models will be available at Rs. 35,900 for the 16GB model, Rs. 42,900 for the 64GB model and Rs. 49,900 for the 128GB model. iPad Air 2 with Wi-Fi + Cellular models will be available at Rs. 45,900 for the 16GB model, Rs. 52,900 for the 64GB model and Rs. 59,900 for the 128GB model.<\/p>\n

Apple iPad mini 3<\/h3>\n

iPad mini 3 comes with a 7.9-inches with a 2048\u00d71536 resolution at 326 pixels per inch (ppi). Apple has introduced Retina Display to the device.<\/strong> The weight and dimensions of iPad Mini 3 is same as that of iPad Mini 2. For the iPad mini 3, Apple has kept the A7 processor with M7 motion co-processor which isn\u2019t an improvement at all from the earlier version.<\/p>\n

Most of the other aspects of the iPad mini 3 have been carried forward from its previous iteration. The only major update with the mini 3 is the addition of the TouchID. iPad mini 3 is coming in Gold colour as well along with Space Grey and silver.<\/p>\n

Price-<\/strong> The iPad Mini 3 with Wi-fi will start at Rs 28,900 (16GB), Rs 35,900 (64GB) and Rs 42,900 (128GB). The iPad Mini 3 Wi-fi + Cellular models will be sold at Rs 38,900 (16GB), Rs 45,900 (64GB) and Rs 52,900 (128GB).<\/p>\n

Availability of the device<\/h4>\n

The iPad Air 2, iPad mini 3 and the devices will go on sale later next week in 29 countries while pre-orders open online on 17 October.
