Though the updates are not major, the refreshed Swift now comes with improved fuel efficiency of 10%.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-21215\" src=\"http:\/\/news.entecity.com\/files\/2014\/10\/Maruti-Suzuki-Swift-2014-Side-768x403.jpg\" alt=\"Maruti Suzuki Swift 2014 Side\" width=\"742\" height=\"389\" srcset=\"https:\/\/entecity.com\/news\/files\/2014\/10\/Maruti-Suzuki-Swift-2014-Side-768x403.jpg 768w, https:\/\/entecity.com\/news\/files\/2014\/10\/Maruti-Suzuki-Swift-2014-Side.jpg 1029w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 742px) 100vw, 742px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>2014 Swift is available in petrol and diesel variants. Petrol variant is powered by a 1197cc, K series VVT engine which is now marginally less powerful (83.1bhp instead of 85.8bhp) but delivers a good fuel efficiency figure of <strong>20.4 kpl<\/strong> instead of 18.6 kpl. Meanwhile, the diesel model is powered by a 1248cc, DDiS diesel engine developing 75bhp of power and 190Nm of torque and returns a fuel economy of <strong>25.2kpl<\/strong>. To improve the efficiency, Maruti has made several tweaks in the engine leading to improved thermal efficiency and reduced frictional losses.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-21213\" src=\"http:\/\/news.entecity.com\/files\/2014\/10\/Maruti-Suzuki-Swift-2014-Front.jpg\" alt=\"Maruti Suzuki Swift 2014 Front\" width=\"600\" height=\"399\" srcset=\"https:\/\/entecity.com\/news\/files\/2014\/10\/Maruti-Suzuki-Swift-2014-Front.jpg 600w, https:\/\/entecity.com\/news\/files\/2014\/10\/Maruti-Suzuki-Swift-2014-Front-222x148.jpg 222w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Exterior changes include a redesigned front bumper and a new honeycomb front grille. The car comes with a larger air dam and silver accents for fog lamp housings.
