Kazhakuttam, Technopark, Venpalavattom, Kulathoor, Akkulam and Chakka are the busy junctions on the NH 66 stretch that will get a facelift.<\/p>\n<p>A paved shoulder is the part of the highway that is adjacent to the regularly travelled portion of the highway and is on the same level as the highway.<\/p>\n<p>The decision to construct the paved shoulder was taken in the view of the huge turnout anticipated for the opening and closing ceremony of the Games at the stadium. The 1.5 metre paved shoulder with bitumen would give temporary relief to motorists as the two-lane stretch from Kazhakuttom to Chakka. \u00a0The new International Airport Terminal, Technopark and Kochuveli satellite railway terminal are also located on this stretch.<\/p>\n<p>The government has given administrative sanction for the Rs.4-crore which is being undertaken by the PWD Highway wing.
