As the curtains on the 35th National Games is set to go up on January 31 the construction works of the International stadium are going in a fast pace. The stadium has met global standards prescribed by FIFA, ICC and even the International Olympic Committee, an official release said.<\/p>\n
Only 2-3% of construction works are left. Installation of 50,000 seats has been started at the stadium. \u00a0Except for the club house and swimming pool, all other works of the stadium will be completed by January 15th. Since the stadium is the venue for the opening & closing ceremony grass will be laid only after the National games are over. In the mean time artificial turf will be laid on the ground.<\/p>\n
By June 2015, Kariyavattom International Stadium will become fully-fledge and will open for international games.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
The International Greenfield stadium offers best in class viewing experience for the spectators. No matter where they are seated viewers can see the game without any obstruction. Special roofing materials imported from Germany are being used for the roof the stadium, so that spectators on the top level can enjoy the game without being affected by the sun. One side of the gallery is constructed at a height lower than the other in order to allow cool sea breeze to enter the stadium. There will also be huge parking facility that can house 2000 cars at a time.<\/p>\n
