The Kovalam Development Plan includes road work, drinking water scheme, storm drain cleaning, beautification of Edakkal rocks and installing solar street lights at Eve&#8217;s beach.<\/p>\n<p>The plan will be formally launched on Tuesday and major highlights are the drinking water scheme with an outlay of Rs. 15 crore sanctioned to the Kerala water authority by the tourism department. To curb the garbage situation effectively, around 1400 biogas units will be supplied.<\/p>\n<p>A development scheme of Rs. 44 lakh will be utilised as part of renovation of road leading to Eve&#8217;s beach. Apart from this Rs. 3 crore has been set aside for the modernisation and beautification of <a href=\"http:\/\/news.entecity.com\/kovalam-the-paradise-found\/\" target=\"_blank\">Kovalam tourist village<\/a> and crafts village as<br \/>\npart of the clean destination drive.<\/p>\n<p>The Edakkal rocks beautification has already been completed. The work was undertaken by G Sankar of Habitat Technology Group. Lamps designed by The <a href=\"http:\/\/news.entecity.com\/tag\/trivandrum\/\" target=\"_blank\">Trivandrum<\/a> Global City of Innovation will be installed in Eve&#8217;s beach.
