The revamp includes the best in comfy seats with more leg room, cleanliness, online reservation options, and incorporates advanced technologies in terms of projection, ambience, lighting and sound.<\/p>\n
Now the 35 year old SL Cinemas located near Overbridge is all set to transform into a 6-screen multiplex.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
The renovation works has been already started and is fast progressing. Only one out of the four screens is now functional. The cinema complex will be equipped with state-of-the-art sound and video presentation system. The work on Anjali will start early next year and will be split into 3 screens. Aswathy will be used for screening special shows for students. If sources are true, Athulya will be made into a DMAX 3D<\/strong> screen, a Chinese equivalent of IMAX 3D. When completed, it will be first of its kind theatre in whole of South India.<\/p>\n
Apart from these, the renovated complex will have facilities like elevators, escalators and a massive car parking space.<\/p>\n
The theatre has been leased to director Sohan Roy\u2019s Aries Group of Companies for a period of 20 years. In a recent acquisition, Aries Group has acquired Vismayas Max Studios, one of the leading post production studios in South India.
