The module will go on display at ISRO\u2019s Space Museum at Thumba.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_21880\" style=\"width: 535px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-21880\" class=\"wp-image-21880 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/news.entecity.com\/files\/2014\/12\/GSLC-Mark-3.jpg\" alt=\"GSLC Mark 3\" width=\"525\" height=\"350\" srcset=\"https:\/\/entecity.com\/news\/files\/2014\/12\/GSLC-Mark-3.jpg 525w, https:\/\/entecity.com\/news\/files\/2014\/12\/GSLC-Mark-3-222x148.jpg 222w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 525px) 100vw, 525px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-21880\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Crew Module<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The crew module will sit alongside with the SRE-I (Space Capsule Recovery Experiment) capsule which was the first ever atmospheric re-entry and recovery experiment conducted by ISRO in 2007.<\/p>\n<p>Developed by VSSC, the crew module is designed to hold two astronauts and is a major step forward in India\u2019s manned spaceflight programme. The module weighs about 3.65 tonne.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_21883\" style=\"width: 633px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-21883\" class=\"wp-image-21883 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/news.entecity.com\/files\/2014\/12\/03_ISRO-GSLV-Mark-III-rocket.jpg\" alt=\"Crew Module recovered from Bay of Bengal\" width=\"623\" height=\"511\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-21883\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Crew Module recovered from Bay of Bengal<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The unmanned space crew module was recovered by the Coast Guard vessel Samudra Pahredar from Indira Point in Bay of Bengal and it reached Satish Dhawan Space Centre at Sriharikota on Sunday evening from the Ennore in Chennai.<\/p>\n<p>With this launch, India has successfully joined the club of US, Russia, Europe and China with the re-entry capability.
