With an aim to provide intra-State air connectivity, Lucknow-based Company Awadh Ifraland Ltd will operate daily flights between the three airports of the State starting this month.<\/p>\n

The maiden flight of the company will take off from Trivandrum International airport at 7 a.m. to Kozhikode on January 23.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

There will be daily morning and evening flights in the Thiruvananthapuram-Kozhikode sector. Later, the flights will be introduced in Trivandrum-Kochi sector and via Kochi to Mangalore and Coimbatore. A 9-seater Cessna aircraft Grand Caravan will be operated from Trivandrum-Kozhikode sector.<\/p>\n

The passengers can check in 20 minutes before the departure of the flight. The passengers can also avail window seats with business class comfort.<\/p>\n

The company is offering tickets at a price of Rs. 2,999 in the Trivandrum-Kozhikode sector and Rs 1,800 in the Trivandrum-Kochi sector.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The aircrafts are taken on lease from Deccan Charters and will be based in Trivandrum International Airport for its operations in the State. The aircraft will be taken to Bangalore after every 100 hours of flying for the mandatory check.<\/p>\n

In the future, the company plans to commence flights in other States to offer regional connectivity. Air ambulance and charter service is also on the anvil.<\/p>\n

The short-haul flights will be a big boost for the development of tourism and industry sector. Awadh Ifraland is planning to procure a 19-seater Viking Twin Otter by April to enhance operational capacity.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
