Here is how to install WhatsApp Web"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>For the first time, WhatsApp users will have the ability to use the app on web browser marking the official debut of the popular messaging app on non-mobile platforms.<\/p>\n<p>The desktop version which is called as WhatsApp Web is a web app rather than a native client. The web browser mirrors conversations and messages from your mobile device, meaning all of your messages still live on your phone. For now, at least, it seems to only with Google Chrome web browser.<\/p>\n<h3>How to use WhatsApp Web<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Step 1:<\/strong> Open https:\/\/web.whatsapp.com on Google Chrome. The homepage will have a QR code that you will have to scan using your smartphone.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-22215 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/news.entecity.com\/files\/2015\/01\/WhatsApp-Web1.jpg\" alt=\"WhatsApp Web QR Code\" width=\"630\" height=\"454\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 2:<\/strong> To use WhatsApp web you need to update the WhatsApp app on your smartphone to the latest version. After the update you should have the \u2018WhatsApp Web\u2019 feature embedded in the app now. Click on the \u2018WhatsApp Web\u2019 button.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 3:<\/strong>\u00a0 Clicking the &#8216;WhatsApp Web&#8217; will open up a QR code scanner. Get the phone&#8217;s scanner screen right in front of the QR code on your Google Chrome. The app will scan it, and once verified, the web browser will automatically activate your profile on WhatsApp Web on chrome. All your contacts are lined up on the left of the screen and chat window on the right. It retains all the emoticons, and you can send videos and photos seamlessly. However WhatsApp Web is simply an extension of your phone and it seems as if it\u2019s using your phone for more than just the initial login. <strong>If your phone dies or disconnects from the internet, so does your WhatsApp web connection.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-22220 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/news.entecity.com\/files\/2015\/01\/WhatsApp-Web3.jpg\" alt=\"WhatsApp Web3\" width=\"651\" height=\"386\" srcset=\"https:\/\/entecity.com\/news\/files\/2015\/01\/WhatsApp-Web3.jpg 651w, https:\/\/entecity.com\/news\/files\/2015\/01\/WhatsApp-Web3-160x95.jpg 160w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 651px) 100vw, 651px\" \/>The desktop version is available for Android, Windows Phone and BlackBerry. Sadly, iOS devices are not supported due to Apple platform limitations.<\/p>\n<p>WhatsApp Web is a blessing for users who had always wanted to use WhatsApp on their PC without having to use services like BlueStack. Earlier this week, WhatsApp temporarily banned users that downloaded and actively used third party apps such as WhatsApp+.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, WhatsApp has over 700 million active users sending over 30 billion messages per day.
