{"id":22306,"date":"2015-01-30T16:59:19","date_gmt":"2015-01-30T11:29:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/news.entecity.com\/?p=22306"},"modified":"2015-01-30T16:59:19","modified_gmt":"2015-01-30T11:29:19","slug":"iim-kozhikode-to-open-campus-in-trivandrum","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/entecity.com\/news\/iim-kozhikode-to-open-campus-in-trivandrum\/","title":{"rendered":"IIM-Kozhikode to open campus in Trivandrum"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Soon a campus of IIM-Kozhikode will come up in the state capital as the cabinet cleared a proposal for granting land for the institution.<\/p>\n<p>Finance department has cleared a file that had been initiated by the revenue department for granting<strong> 4.5 acres<\/strong> near the proposed Knowledge City at Kazhakoottam. \u00a0Central government had earlier sanctioned the proposal by IIMs to set up research and extension centres in the country and abroad.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The campus will come up opposite the Infosys SEZ campus at Technopark.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The land is given for lease at a nominal rent of Rs 100 per cent per year. The lease will be applicable for 30 years, at the rate of Rs 4,500 per year.<\/p>\n<p>IIM-Kozhikode is planning to setup a facility which spreads over an area of 1,20,000 sq ft at a cost of <strong>Rs 120 crore<\/strong>. The proposed centre will cater to a set of executive programmes for professionals in addition to training programmes for top bureaucrats and government officials.
