Samsung finally took the wraps of its next Galaxy flagship, the Galaxy S6 at the MWC 2015 in Barcelona. The company also revealed the new mobile payment service called Samsung Pay, set to rival Apple Pay.<\/p>\n

Designed from scratch in an operation dubbed “Project Zero”, the phone comes in two variants – the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge. The 6.8 mm thin Galaxy S6 has a flat display and weighs 138g, while the 7.0mm and 132g Galaxy S6 has a dual-curved display that wraps around both the left and right sides<\/p>\n

The Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge have a completely redesigned look and feel and have ditched the cheap plastic body. Both phones now sport a metal frame and a glass body both on the front and back.<\/p>\n

Hardware:<\/strong> In terms of spec, the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge sports a 5.1 Quad HD Super AMOLOED display with 2560 X 1440 resolution which comes to a very high 577ppi pixel density. Both use Corning Gorilla Glass 4 for protection.<\/p>\n

Both devices are powered by Samsung\u2019s Exynos 7 Octa-core processor which contains 2 quad-core processor clocked at 2.1 GHz and 1.5GHz respectively. The smartphones have 3GB RAM. The devices run on the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop with a trimmed down version of Samsung TouchWiz UI.<\/p>\n

Camera:<\/strong> In terms of imaging, there is a 16-megapixel rear camera with OIS (optical image stabilisation) and LED flash while there is a 5-megapixel front camera on board. Both the handsets come with a slew of camera features such as quick launch, tracking AF, auto real-time HDR, f\/1.9, IR detect white balance, low light video, high clear zoom, virtual shot, slow motion, fast motion, pro mode, and selective focus.<\/p>\n

Battery & Storage:<\/strong> The Galaxy S6 is backed by a 2550mAh battery while the Galaxy S6 Edge comes with 2600mAh battery. Both have non-removable battery and lack a microSd slot. The devices comes in will be available in 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB storage variants. The fast charging batteries provides “about 4 hours of usage after only 10 minutes of charging.”<\/p>\n

Colour: <\/strong>White Pearl, Black Sapphire, Gold Platinum, Blue Topaz (Galaxy S6) and Green Emerald (Galaxy S6 edge only).<\/p>\n

Samsung Pay and Fingerprint Scanner:<\/strong> The new Galaxy handsets also pack fingerprint scanning with an enhanced touch-type fingerprint scanner on the home button. The phone uses both NFC and Magnetic Secure Transmission to make Samsung Pay more universal than Apple Pay.<\/p>\n
