Soon Trivandrum will have Wi-Fi enabled bus stops on its city roads. The Wi-Fi service will provide comfort for the people and make it much more appealing to wait for the bus.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>All the bus stops located on the 42-km roads under the City Road Improvement Project (CRIP) would be enabled with free Wi-Fi.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>All the bus stops located on the 42-km roads under the City Road Improvement Project (CRIP) would be enabled with free Wi-Fi. There are around <strong>58 bus stops<\/strong> on the 42-km stretch. TRDCL the concessionaire of CRIP has already entered into a formal agreement with a leading internet Service provider in the country. According to TRDCL, the Wi-Fi enabled bus shelter will be ready once the ISP is ready with 4G internet service. Initially, the Wi-Fi service will be provided free-of-cost.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Initially, the Wi-Fi service will be provided free-of-cost.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The aim is to upgrade all the bus stops under the CRIP roads into a hi-tech commuter friendly bus shelter. Apart from Wi-Fi, the bus shelters will also have GPS-enabled display panel that shows bus timings which will be blessing for tourists especially for foreign travellers.<\/p>\n<p>The bus stops maintained by TRDCL will also have FM Radio service and CCTV cameras for security. The first such bus stop which would come up at Vellayambalam will be inaugurated on March 31st. The Wi-Fi facility will be introduced soon.<\/p>\n<p><strong>So what\u2019s your take on this?
