In a recent letter to Chief Minister Infosys accuses Technopark of non-cooperation and labour unions of causing losses to the company.<\/p>\n
The letter, signed by company executive vice-president (global facilities) U Ramadas Kamath, says Infosys doesn\u2019t even have the liberty to shift its materials internally.<\/p>\n
“You might be surprised to note that there are three unions functioning on our 50-acre campus and we are asked to pay charges for shifting our materials internally. We are losing considerable amount of time, money and it is also causing huge inconvenience in the day-to-day operations,” the letter says. The company says they are forced to stall work on hartal days.<\/p>\n
Earlier, Infosys had written to the government conveying its decision to drop the project in Technocity. The company cited Technopark’s non-cooperation for the decision but Technopark denied it.<\/p>\n
The latest letter says, the company is upset over the unprofessional approach of some officers of the Technopark. The company also says, Technopark is yet to provide a permanent water connection to its special economic zone campus, which is a violation of clause 15 of the lease deed signed with it.<\/p>\n
Infosys also said that the land allotted to it in Technocity is a low lying area, which is adversely affecting its expansion. “The company is suffering because of a shortage of soil for land filling. The four-laning of the NH bypass has been pending for years, which we have been highlighting in the past. There is no progress in the matter so far,” the letter says.<\/p>\n
