The air-conditioned executive lounge will have several facilities such as recliners and sofas for seating arrangements, meals, buffet, newspapers, magazines, TV, Wi-Fi connectivity, luggage racks and clean washrooms, among others. The facility will be available on payment basis. By paying an additional Rs125, passengers will get a ‘bathroom kit’ which includes fresh towel and soap. The executive lounge will come up within 6 months. Current ticket counter is being demolished to make space for the executive lounge.<\/p>\n
The new facility to come up at Trivandrum Central is as part of Indian Railways project to set up executive lounges of international standards at 50 busy stations. Trivandrum Central is the busiest railway station in Kerala.\u00a0 Already an executive lounge is operational at the New Delhi station on a pilot basis.<\/p>\n
An air-conditioned ticket counter twice the space of current ticket counter will also come up at the station.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
A spacious air-conditioned ticket counter will also come up at the station. The new A\/c ticket counter will be set up on the floor below the reservation office. It will be twice as spacious as the old one. Current ticket counter has only 8 counters while the new counter will have 10.
