Two years ago Kerala Tourism mooted the \u2018Hop-On\/Hop-Off\u2018 bus service concept for tourists arriving in Trivandrum. It seems like the project wasn\u2019t completely shelved and it\u2019s now back on track.<\/p>\n
Kerala Tourism is going to launch the \u2018Hop-On\/Hop-Off\u2018 bus service in the Capital city in order to provide sightseeing options to tourists who want to explore Ananthapuri with a more flexible schedule.<\/p>\n
Hop-On\/Hop-Off or \u2018HOHO\u2019 bus services are popular in cities like Delhi and London.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
Hop-On\/Hop-Off or \u2018HOHO\u2019 bus services are popular in cities like Delhi and London. These HOHO buses will be operated continuously and tourists can board the bus at any of the pick-up\/drop-off points.\u00a0 Tourists can board the bus from any place using a single ticket. They will have the freedom to plan their itinerary and explore the tourists spots at leisure.<\/p>\n
Kerala Tourism will be using 3 buses for conducting loop tours linking major tourist spots and places of attractions in the city. Already a sum of Rs 1.35 crore has been provided to the Kerala Tourism for the implementation of the project.<\/p>\n

The buses will cover the beach resort of Kovalam, East Fort, Shanghumugham, the Veli tourist village, Aakkulam, Napier Museum, zoo, science and technology museum, and other landmarks in the city.<\/p>\n
The buses will have different colour which reflects the heritage of the city. Hop-On\/Hop-Off\u2019 buses will have tour guides and audio guides and will be equipped with comfortable seats and conceptually designed interior panels. Online booking facility and onboard ticketing facility will be available.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile KSRTC is conducting a \u2018Heritage City Tourism\u2019 in the capital by using its ‘double-decker’ buses.
